Stem Cells in Drug Discovery- Practical Approaches

Presented By Rainer Heller, Ph.D

Greiner Bio-One is proud to offer a webinar that includes the following topics:

  • Induced pluripotent stem cells as a source of neuronal progenitor cells

  • Neuronal differentiation of induced human pluripotent stem cells

  • Use of commercially available neurons derived from human iPSCs

  • Adipogenesis of human mesenchymal stem cells

  • High content screening and analysis approaches using iPS derived neurons and human mesenchymal derived adipocytes

Dr. Heller studied Biology with a focus on Microbiology, Biochemistry and Genetics at the University of Stuttgart. Following his Master’s degree, he conducted research in Molecular Biology and Genetics at the University in Munich. He later earned his Ph.D at Christian Albrecht University. Today, Dr. Heller is responsible for the launching of many new products dealing with High Throughput Screening and has authored scientific literature providing a comprehensive overview for microplate design and application.
